It's the very first contest in the history of Nintendo Papercraft! This contest will be a Designer contest which means that you have to CREATE a completely new model that doesn't exist yet. And the theme is....



Banjo Kazooie!

So let's get started with the rules:

-1 entry per person. You can edit your model after posting, so that you can obtain feedback from members or other contestants
-You have to make the model yourself. Don't use an existing papercraft
-The craft should be made during the period of this contest. You may not submit a papercraft that you made before this contest started
-The model somehow needs to be connected to Banjo Kazooie/Tooie
-You may rip from the N64 game for models
-You need permission from your parents to give out your adress to me*
-You agree that your submission may be posted on the blog.
-You won't argue about the prize you win or in what place you ended in this contest
-Each entry needs to have a picture of the assembled papercraft with it**
-Your submission should be submitted before 21th of September 2008

When you are done making your papercraft, you make a new topic in this section of the board with your name and the papercraft title as a topic title. People can comment on that particular papercraft in that topic.

*Your adress will not be used for anything else then sending your prize to when you win. I, Drummyralf, will be the only one who will see your adress, The adress will not become public for other people.
**you don't need a professional camera for this. Even a webcamshot will do. Just prove that the papercraft is buildable.

Then about the prizes. Yes there are prizes!

The one that ends up getting the first prize may choose one of these figures. The #2 may choose after #1 has chosen, and #3 can choose his prize after #1 and #2 have chosen.

The prize will be sent to your home adress. When you win I will PM you asking what your adress is. As soon as I sent the prizes away, I will delete the PM's with the adresses. Receiving the prize will be completely free.

Voting
All the members will be the judge. Everybody can vote on their favourite papercraft. After the voting has ended, the papercraft with the most points wins.

People will have to make a top 3, giving 3 points to their favourite character, 2 points to their second favourite papercraft and one point to their 3rd favourite character.

Hey, you guys should attempt to design something, even if you never have before. After all, the "best" model doesn't necessarily mean the most complex or impressive. It could just be the funnest one to build!

If you were to choose a simple figure, or just one you know really well, all you would really need to do to create something basic is to consider it, and then use a bit of your geometry know-how to draw it out. Then, scan it in, color it in paint/photoshop (unless you prefer to draw the design) and presto! My sister has created a few that way, and you can make them fairly good, depending upon how much dedication you are willing to put in.

Can you use basic shapes that other people made to put them together?

the whole model has to be made by you. you cant use other peoples work sorry

The Purple cat is named Rosy and is from Animal Crossing.

I love the B&K series. If only I could design.
On an unrelated note, I have two of those Mario stands, but they are different scenes of the game. They are really cool.

MUST HAVE GASHAPON PHANTOM HOURGLASS LINK AND PLUSHIE ROSIE..........*Goes Zombie and knocks all remaining opponents unconcious* I don't know much about the game, but I would love to win. Might try. MIGHT

EDIT: Interestingly enough, I was thinking about buying the phantom hourglass figures. If I win, I don't have to buy Link:) Well, I've started, but I have a few questions. Where do we submit it, and are we allowed to have others test build? My printers out of ink, and I probably won't be getting any soon. Thanks

Hmm, about actually building the model we design, can we beta it in white?

You could do that, but believe me: A picture with nice color and textures is way more appealing then just a white 3D papermodel. Everybody will be voting, so it's probably a good idea to make your picture as appealing as possible, but I won't force you.

I would need a textured version of the papercraft to post it on the blog though.
